My name is Elise Falanga Taylor, and I'm running for the New Mexico State House because I believe our community deserves a representative who understands what life here actually looks like — not from a distance, but from the inside.

I wasn't born into politics. I've been an actress, a union leader, and a gig worker. I recently drove Lyft across central New Mexico, and in that car I heard something that changed me: your stories. Your worries about your kids' schools. Your frustration with rising costs. Your hopes for what this state could be. Those conversations didn't just inspire me — they convinced me I had to run.

I went on to serve as a Legislative Assistant to State Representatives right here at the Capitol, where I learned how laws are made — and just as importantly, where the system falls short. I know how this work gets done, and I'm ready to do it for you.

I'm not running to hold a title. I'm running because our families need real public safety, our kids deserve better schools, our small businesses need support, and the cost of living in this beautiful state is pushing too many families to the edge. I have bold ideas and the experience to turn them into action.
