About Elise Falanga Taylor
Nice to meet you!

Elise Falanga Taylor was born in Bayshore, New York and raised in Vernon, New Jersey. She studied acting in New York City and Los Angeles before landing her first network co-star role in an ABC sitcom. Her career in film and television led her to join SAG-AFTRA, where she rose into union leadership — developing the advocacy skills and coalition-building experience she carries into public service today.
When the film industry slowed, Elise embraced change with characteristic resilience. Driving for Lyft, she discovered something unexpected: a deep connection with New Mexicans and a genuine passion for listening to their stories, struggles, and hopes for our state. Those conversations lit a fire.
Elise went on to serve as a Legislative Assistant to multiple State Representatives, where she gained firsthand knowledge of how legislation is written, debated, and passed — and where she realized that this was the work she was meant to do. She continues to perform and works with her communities in film to support the industry throughout our state.
Now, Elise is running for the New Mexico State House because she believes our communities deserve a representative who has actually lived the challenges so many families face. She has worked in the gig economy. She has fought for workers' rights. She has navigated complex systems and come out the other side with bold, creative ideas for real solutions.
Her top priorities are:
-
Public safety that actually works for every neighborhood
-
Expanding educational opportunities for New Mexico's kids and families
-
Supporting small businesses and growing our state's economy
-
Tackling the affordability crisis squeezing working families across New Mexico
Elise Falanga Taylor isn't a career politician — she's a neighbor, a listener, and a fighter. And she's ready to get to work.
